First of all, can we talk about family travel for a second?! ![]() A survey by Expedia found that 97% of teens said family vacations brought them closer to their siblings, and 69% said their favorite childhood memories happened on family trips. Not opening presents on Christmas morning, on vacation. Research out of the University of Toronto confirms it too: if you want to give someone something that makes them feel closer to you, give them an experience! And this is exactly what I witnessed firsthand last holiday season in Rwanda gorilla trekking. One of the coolest parts wasn't even the gorillas themselves (which was absolutely insane lol)… it was watching so many families share this once-in-a-lifetime experience together. Kids in awe, parents emotional, everyone gathered around the fire afterward reliving every moment. Which brings me to why I'm writing today… if your family is thinking about doing something special over the holidays, you need to start planning NOW. I've been putting together holiday proposals for ski chalets, Caribbean villas, and festive family getaways and I'm already seeing SO much limited availability. Hotels fully sold out, villas getting picked over, best room categories disappearing fast. So consider this your official gentle panic reminder to start planning!!! Posh Trips Can book your family a VillaI love booking villas for families! A villa completely changes the dynamic of a trip. Everyone is together under one roof, drinking wine after dinner, hanging by the pool all day, cooking breakfast together, kids running around while grandparents relax outside. It just creates such a different energy than everyone splitting up into separate hotel rooms. ![]() And the biggest misconception is that Airbnb is the only option! NOPE. Posh trips has access to SO many villas. And a lot of the luxury villas we book are completely off-market and professionally managed, full staff, private chefs, housekeeping, concierge teams, the works. WAY different than rolling the dice on a random airbnb listing and hoping the photos are real lol! |
The Posh Box, The Best Gift You Can Give! And since we're already in the holiday gifting spirit… can we talk about Posh Boxes for a second?! ![]() If you're already a client, you know exactly what I'm talking about. But for anyone new here, a Posh Box is my little love language. Before every trip, I put together a beautifully curated box with a printed itinerary, fun destination-themed goodies, and little knickknacks to get you excited for the adventure ahead. It's honestly one of my favorite parts of the whole process! And it makes the most incredible gift. Imagine surprising your partner with a box that reveals your anniversary trip. A birthday getaway. A honeymoon reveal. A "we're doing Christmas somewhere amazing this year" moment. The experience IS the gift, and the Posh Box is the bow on top! The best part? Completely complimentary, it's just part of what you get when you book with Posh Trips. All you have to do is book the trip! |
Where my clients are traveling in May: Bora BoraMay in the Posh Trips world has been all about French Polynesia (aka Bora Bora) And I'm LOVING planning these trips because I went on a work trip to Bora Bora last year, so I feel super prepared when it comes to helping my clients plan the perfect experience. ![]() Having been there myself makes such a difference. I know exactly which restaurants are actually worth booking, which activities are worth the hype, the best hotels for different travel styles, and most importantly, the perfect way to sequence everything so the trip flows beautifully from start to finish. Right now I have two sets of clients heading there for major bucket-list moments: a honeymoon and a birthday trip. Which brings up something I always say… French Polynesia is NOT just for honeymoons. ![]() Yes, the overwater bungalows are iconic and every bit as dreamy as they look. But there are also stunning beaches, world-class scuba diving, rich Polynesian culture, and properties like The Brando that are genuinely perfect for families too. It really works for every type of traveler. And here's a fun fact that surprises everyone: it's not even thattt far. French Polynesia is on the same time zone as Hawaii… just with way more culture and way fewer tourists. If French Polynesia has been sitting on your bucket list, now is the time. Reach out and let's plan it!! |
