My client missed her connecting flight to Bora Bora. Thousands of dollars and the trip of a lifetime were about to disappear.

I was on a plane over Vietnam when the call came in. Within an hour, my assistant and I had two private jets secured and standing by. People assume a private jet is one phone call — it’s an aircraft, a crew, pilots, flight attendants, and airport slots, all lined up fast enough to fit a closing window.

A rug company opened Malta’s newest luxury hotels… and somehow it makes perfect sense.

Casa Bonavita is a 17-room boutique hotel tucked away in the Maltese countryside, created by Christopher and Suzanne Sharp, the founders of The Rug Company.
